Sea Doo Lowers the Cost Entry Level Point for Personal Watercraft

BRP / Sea Doo is innovating again, their new Spark not only entails new design and production innovations for the industry but expands the market with an entry cost threshold of $5000. It is great to see companies in this product space working hard to not just add new capabilities, but to bring affordability to the market. I think they have a hit on their hands with their self described Aqua-Scooter category and with its design, customization, and performance points it makes a great craft for those new to PWC ownership and fun.

Lets hope the Spark, ignites the interest in this great on the water activity.

Personal Watercraft The Getting Started Guide

What are your season-end triggers?

I wonder what signifies to each owner when the season ends for personal watercraft? It is a date on a calendar, like the first day of fall, first of a month that is the defacto end of boating season for that region, or maybe it's the back to school who's got time situation, or the average daily temperature of the air or water below the personally bearable number.

For me it's the combination of all of those. And it's getting to that time for this year. It's a reflection time of 'tempus fugit' when it's time to pull the Sea-Doos out of the water and get them prepped for winter storage.

Personal Watercraft: The Getting Started Guide - eBook

There was a deficiency of consolidated information. I was like many people, I would imagine, interested in Personal Watercraft as a recreation, but I was unable to find a good book - traditional or eBook - that would give me the insight and information needed to judge if this was for me, tell me what it entails in ownership, operation and maintenance, ultimately give me a comfort in buying and committing. So I set out to create a book based on my questions, investigations, research into PWC (Personal Watercraft) and I have now completed and published just such a book on Amazon; available for the kindle and all kindle reader software and apps.

The eBook: Personal Watercraft: The Getting Started Guide, is just that: an overview for anyone interested in the activity, what you want and need to know. Most books, if they can be found, focus on one particular aspect - like the craft itself from a technical perspective, or are generalized like boating or navigation, and don't really address the specifics and uniqueness of PWC from beginning to end. This book will fill that need and answer the same questions I had in my indoctrination into this boating recreation. Check it out on Amazon and buy a copy, you'll be more informed than most operators and PWC salesmen you run into. And Good Luck.

Now for this blog we'll try to discuss more advanced aspects, share some experiences and photos, hopefully build up some more interest to this great recreation. So enjoy, and we'll see you on the water!
